Metal Rage, developed by GameHi and co-serviced by CJ Internet’s game portal, Netmarble, ran a press conference in Japan on the 10th and announced a full-fledged expansion into the Japanese market.
In the press conference held at FIAT SPACE in Aoyama, Japan on November 10th at 1:30 PM, total of 50 reporters from 30 media were present, showing the heated interests from Tokyo Game Show and the location test.
Gameyarou, in charge of the Japanese service for Metal Rage, has revealed the scheduled close beta service “mock training,” and the first channeling service from three companies: NHN Japan, CJ Internet Japan, and GamMania Japan.
From the support of these three companies that are on the top of online game portal service in Japan, Metal Rage is expected to have successful game service, starting off with 10,000 testers.
In the press conference, a famous mechanic designer Akitaka Mika also participated, announcing his collaboration with Metal Rage. Akitaka, who participated in the famous Japanese animation “Gundam” series, will work with Ishigaki Junya—designer for Gundam and Macross series—on the mechanic design of Metal Rage.
Furthermore, Gameyarou plans to collaborate with the rock band “Bynex” for the game sounds, as well as CD releases, and start other marketing activities such as Net Cafés and business partnerships.
Yoon-Suk Choi, director of Gameyarou, stated, “through this three-company channeling, Metal Rage has secured the best user pool. Also, I would like to emphasize that the high quality contents of Metal Rage, as well as the experienced management through Sudden Attack and Dekaron have been rated high. With many marketing activities suitable to Japan and impeccable localization, we will make Metal Rage into a success.”
